Today is a fresh start for me, not because I have done anything spectacular or extraordinary but because I get to debut my song "City of glass" at a gig, not exactly Wembley stadium but any gig is a step closer, I'm not too fussed that I'm on first (just more time to be at the bar; good times).

If anything I am pretty happy I am on first at least it means I get to open a gig, I am currently sat playing guitar right now having a laugh with a few close friends, I just played my song previously mentioned, I only played part of it as I don't want to ruin it for it's debut tonight, but my friend sat to the right of me (Sam) gave me some feedback on it and gave me the idea to change two things about the song, the first being the name of the song was "Paradise Lost", cliché I know but he told me that it sounded better as "City of glass".

He told me this is because he misheard my first verse, what I sang was "This City, This city is made of cracks, and photographs, yea" but what he heard was "This City, This city is made of glass, and photographs, yea", His opinion was that it sounded smoother that way.

I have a recording of the song but I don't intend to put it up on soundcloud just yet, sorry but the recording isn't great quality, I am hoping to have it recorded and mastered by January, I am doing this for a project that I am working on, this is my first post and I hope to keep you updated with my recordings and whatnot in the oncoming weeks and months.

This one goes out to you guys and girls who may be reading this, whoever you may be

Callum Lawrie signing out, later.
